Common Questions.
What is an industrial stormwater inspection?
It is a documented review required under Georgia's Industrial General Permit (NPDES) for facilities in regulated SIC codes — manufacturing, warehousing, scrap, transportation, recycling, food processing and more. Inspections must be performed quarterly at a minimum, with additional visits after qualifying rain events.
Does my facility need an Industrial General Permit?
If your facility falls under one of the regulated SIC codes and any industrial activity is exposed to stormwater, yes. We can run a No Exposure Certification review first to see if you can avoid permit coverage entirely.
What does the inspection cover?
Outfalls, loading/unloading areas, material storage, waste handling, BMP condition, illicit discharge screening, SWPPP currency, training records, and benchmark sample documentation.
We just got an EPD notice — can you help?
Yes. We mobilize emergency industrial stormwater inspections within 5 business days, document corrective actions and interface directly with Georgia EPD on your behalf.
Do you also do the benchmark sampling?
Yes. We collect, transport and submit benchmark stormwater samples to a state-certified lab and incorporate the results into your annual report.
